The location was perfect, situated near the Leo Theater and the Kulturfabrik in the Ibach House. We enjoyed watching entertaining shows and live performances with our children. The hotel itself had a homely ambiance, making us feel comfortable and relaxed. The staff were warm and welcoming, making our stay even more pleasant.
For dads, it would be great if the hotel offered more recreational activities for children, such as a play area or games room.

We arrived back from the eurovision at 03,30 ! The staff were very kind and waited for us to arrive. The room was a good size and the shower was excellent. The town of Schwelm is only a few minutes walk away, and is very nice.
There were no tea/coffee making facilites, and perhaps it was a little expensive for what we got- but overall very nice.

The hotel has a charming old-fashioned style that adds character to the overall atmosphere. The free working wireless internet and flat screen televisions are a nice touch. The housekeeping staff did a good job of keeping the room clean. The waiter in the restaurant provided excellent service. Despite some drawbacks, the hotel is still the best option in Schwelm. I would recommend this hotel for its unique charm and decent amenities.

A great experience at this hotel. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, answering all my queries and went beyond their duties to make my stay enjoyable. Hotel facilities were also of great quality and well-maintained. The location of this hotel was also ideal, close to other restaurants that were walking distance away. Breakfast was also substantial, and there was never a dull moment.
No negatives from this place.

Spent Christmas here and it was a great experience. the hotel is located in a charming small town with plenty of local shops and restaurants. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and the room was spacious and well, equipped with free Wi, Fi and a large flat, screen TV. Breakfast was satisfying with a nice variety of options, and there was even a cozy fireplace in the lobby to enjoy.
The lack of soundproofing in the room. We could hear the noise from the street and other guests in adjacent rooms.

Within walking distance to several restaurants and shops in the town centre. the hotel service is good, with attentive housekeeping staff. Cosy, old-fashioned rooms with free wifi.
Breakfast lacked variety and quality compared to other Dr Lohbeck hotels.

Spent a lovely Christmas break at a hotel in a quaint village, only a short walk from local shops and restaurants. The staff were friendly and accommodating; always happy to offer advice on the best places to visit in the area. The room was comfortable and offered stunning views of the surrounding countryside. One of the highlights was the delicious Christmas dinner, offering a variety of traditional and modern dishes to suit everyone's taste.
Although the hotel was generally pleasant, the breakfast offering could have been better. There was limited variety and it felt like the same selection was served every day.
